Kitchen Volunteers

We take our food seriously at Etz Chaim and we enjoy it. Food is central to many of the things that we do. Sharing a meal is community. It is an opportunity to gather with family and friends and celebrate. Celebrate holidays and life events – weddings, birthdays, births (children, grandchildren, great grandchildren), bar & bat mitzvahs.

Food is also how we show our love and support for our family and friends:

  • Feeling a little under the weather? -- How about some chicken soup or mushroom barley soup?

  • Had surgery recently?-- How about chicken and rice? Or Lasagna? Spaghetti and meatballs?

  • Dropped something on your foot and can barely hobble around? We have something for that to.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Etz Chaim Kitchen and we rely on them for our:

  • Friday night dinners – special events, special sponsored or just because;

  • Shabbat kiddush – sponsored or themed;

  • Holiday meals like:

    • Passover Community Second Seder

    • Rosh Hashanah 2nd day luncheon

    • Dinner in the Sukkah

    • Purim Dinner Theater with seating for 200

How can you help? Do you:

Like to cook?      We have a job for you.

Like to clean?     We have a job for you.

Like to set up?    We have a job for you.

Like to eat?         We have a job for you.

Can’t cook?         We have a job for you.

At Etz Chaim – we really cook. Come on in and pick up a spatula.
